Pacman is an easy recognizable character. He is a circle and yellow. A good thing is that he is easy to draw and because of that he is easy to remember. Pacman started his life as a game. He has branched out into many different media, though.

Who does not remember the simple but yet fun game. You play as pacman who has to collect yellow dots and fruits. While collecting these items in a maze like stage, you also have to dodge the ghosts that are hovering around in the stage.

The ghosts are an interesting bunch. They come in different colors and they each have their own quirky personalities.

Eat the right fruit and become super Pacman. While you are in this mode, the ghosts are scurrying around in the hope of avoiding you, because now you have the power to eat them. Too bad this does not last forever and pretty soon everything goes back to normal.

When it comes to the game play it does not get any more simple then this. You only have to worry about moving Pacman across the level.

Graphics in the game are pretty standard. Nothing to special but it gets the job done. Do not expect graphics of the equivalent of a blockbuster game. There is also not a huge graphical update that can be implemented in a game like this.

To bring more life to the brand, Namco introduced ms. Pacman. She looks just like pacman but with a red bow tie on her head. This is how you can extinguish her from Pacman.

She had her own game that is really similar to the first one, but with a couple of differences. The maze is a little more complicated, fruits do not stay in the same place, and the ghost patterns are different.

It is cool to look at how Pacman has evolved throughout the years. And the funny thing is that pacman has not changed at all. He is still yellow and round and still has the type of games and game play.
