Batman has a full time job trying to protect Gotham City from the worst of the worst when it comes to bad guys. He personally puts himself in the cross hair and risks his own life to help the less fortunate. Let us look who Batman is.

Bruce Wayne, a billionaire from the real estate market, is Batman. His identity is only known by a few people. He lives with his butler in a big mansion and keeps attention on everything that goes on in his city. He is a very unique super hero.

Unlike other super heroes, Batman is human and does not have extraordinary powers. What he does have is physical strength and his intellectual power. He also uses weapons and gadgets to have the upper hand when battling enemies.

By looking at his costume you will understand why he is called Batman. Most of his gadgets also support his name.

He also has a sidekick named Robin. Another one of his allies is batwoman.

Batman came on the scene in the early 1940's and was an instant hit with its viewers. The other super hero at that time was Superman, who is literally indestructible. On the other hand batman has more depth to him. He is human.

Anybody who watches Batman knows that the Joker is his worst enemy. The Joker is an evil clown looking character with makeup. He is mentally twisted, but very shrewd and smart. This makes him a deadly enemy to deal with and Batman often has trouble defeating him.

We where introduced to Batman in comic books, but many of the younger fans only know him from the cartoons and videogames.

There was a time where comic book sales were down the slumps and the chance was almost certain that Batman comic books were going to get cancelled. Good thing he survived.

But Batman survived and has become a famous super hero that has both young and old fans. He has become a household name and expect to see more from him in the near future.
